The Newest Hotspot for Jeans
Tuesday, May 13th, 2008It all started with a couple of Myspace addicts figuring out a cool way to mess up an old pair of denim and make them thrashed. Who ever thought that cutting and bleaching up a pair of hip-hugger jeans then posting up a picture on their Myspace of themselves wearing them would create such a stir? A few pictures of ripped up jeans that started the craze that spawned the creation of Destroyed Denim.
Thousands of comments and emails spurred them to create opportunity and business out of this innovative fashion known as Destroyed Denim. In December of 2005, Destroyed Denim officially launched with great fan fare across the Myspace world.
Women’s jeans and skirts, men’s jeans and an assortment of shirts, tanks, hoodies and hats entered the online marketplace, sold exclusively on the Destroyed Denim website. Soon following the jeans came the introduction of “Destroyed”, bleached and tattered shirts, hoodies and hats in summer of 2006, the inspiration for the next chapter of Destroyed.
A year of a kickass sales campaign, national attention of the label from the likes of Vanity Fair magazine, Advertising Age, The Toronto Star, The Wall Street Journal, Business 2.0 magazine, The Orange County Weekly and the Tyra Banks Show followed. But more was soon to come with a vision of creating bigger and badder things, A Destroyed Brand.
Whether you are shopping for or looking to express yourself, you are sure to find sexy lowrise jeans creating an irresistible figure. While you can try on and load up a dressing room, do not neglect the inventory and diversity of brands that can be found online. In addition, you can also benefit from significant savings and reduced costs on denim.
