In addition, in game 4, the Rays fate was doomed after Mr. Howard hit two home runs.

Game 5 was history maker. First, the game was called due to tour it rains and high winds. For the next 2 days, the players and the fans had to wait impatiently for the game to be completed. Then finally, the game resumed in the bottom of the sixth inning with a tied score of 2-2.

Wearing parkas and blankets on a freezing night, fans returned in force to Citizens Bank Park and saw the city claim its first major sports championship in 25 years. All the controversies as well as everything that happened over those 2 days prior to the game finishing were lost in the roar of 40,000 Philadelphians cheering as the Phillies won their 4th game and the World Series ticket 2008.

The Rays won their first victory of the series, 6-4, in their franchise history. They play their 2nd game on Friday, October 3 at 6 PM, which you can watch on Fox.
