Do you remember in high school taking Driver’s Ed? Your first thought was, “Oh boy, I finally get to drive!” Then when class started, it was almost the end of the semester before you even got behind the wheel. The course I took in high school was more of a Defensive Driver Education course. It went beyond the basic mechanics of driving and talking about the risks when I did drive. Like how to properly respond to the actions of other drivers.
We learned a variety of useful rules, techniques and safety precautions that could help us out in tight situations and possibly save our lives. I was taught things like what to do before you turn your car to increase my chances of safety. Once I was on the road, I was constantly aware of the knowledge that was given me and protected me in bad situations.
I highly recommend that every teenager take a driver’s education class other than what is given in high school. It will teach them the essential ways to avoid danger and give them useful facts and statistics on how important these new skills and abilities really are.
There are many driving schools across the country that can give you the information you need to drive safely. However, there is one in New York that I highly recommend, Ferrari Driving School. They are well-versed in the art of teaching driving. In fact, they are a motorcycle driving school in NY, a truck driving school in NY and a CDL school in NY. With this much experience, they have the knowledge and experience to teach you what you need to know.
Remember, many accidents that occur around the world could have been prevented if the driver knew the basics of defensive driving. That tells you that the main benefit and best reason for taking a defensive driving course is safety.
