Many different software packages had extensive reviews written about them but they are way too complex to summarize here. Fear not, there are guidelines to help you narrow down your decision.

The size of your business as well as the size and number of your expected projects will determine what type of software for contractors that you get. Basically, the larger and more complex projects are the more they will justify an expensive and complex software package.

To begin with, you must keep in mind that your business will grow with time. When you first started you might have been able to use nothing more than Excel to accomplish her project. As your business grows so much your software package to meet the needs of your business. It may make more sense to invest the time and money in a more advanced software tool.

Your company budget becomes an issue as your projects increase in size. This would, of course, require software with greater flexibility and more complex relationships. Your decision to use a small business CRM may also involve the previous experience and skills of the existing employees you have. Some of the higher end software packages may have a steep learning curve that you will need to take into account.
